We’re stepping into July with fresh focus and a clear sense of where we’re heading. Over the past month, we’ve taken some time to reflect on how we work and what actually moves the needle. The answer? Stronger partnerships, smarter strategy, and a focus on identifying the kinds of partnerships and opportunities that make sense; opportunities where there’s real value for both our clients and our talent – and finding the right ways to bring those connections to life.
I’m often asked what I think sets TLS Talent apart, and I think it comes down to the fact that we take the time to really understand what our talent want; what drives them, what matters most – and then we go after it with real purpose. At the same time, we’re a sounding board for our clients, listening carefully to what they need, helping shape what the right opportunities should look like, and making sure everything aligns with their goals and values.
We don’t just wait for opportunities to come knocking. Instead, we work closely with both talent and clients to curate thoughtful, strategic partnerships that truly make a difference. Collaborative, intentional, and always focused on the long game.
What hasn’t changed and never will is our commitment to championing and spotlighting our talent. We’ll always be relentless supporters for our talent, and this month there’s plenty to celebrate, with some outstanding wins for talent and clients. Hope you enjoy reading about their triumphs as much as we enjoy enthusing about them. Til next month,
Til next month,

TLS EXPERTS

Nothing gets us fired up quite like a good health cause, so when there’s an opportunity to improve health literacy, we’re all in. We loved seeing Ellie Cole team up with the Department of Health and Aged Care to educate parents about the vital role that childhood vaccinations play in the health of both kids and the community. Dr Preeya Alexander also teamed up with the Department as part of the Get Behind It! campaign for Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.
Habit Researcher Dr Gina Cleo is lending her expertise to this year’s Dry July initiative and playing a key role in encouraging participation and spotlighting the benefits of taking a break from alcohol, providing tips to help people stay motivated.
In partnership news, plant-powered chef Simon Toohey has once again joined forces with Hemp Foods Australia to serve up an array of delicious recipes, while Shelly Horton has partnered with Celeste Barber’s beauty brand BOOIE. Shelly was only too happy to support BOOIE’s PERI skincare range, which is designed to help women keep their skin healthy and cool during perimenopause.
Dr Joanna McMillan dived right in for World Oceans Day last month, teaming up with the Marine Stewardship Council to promote sustainable seafood. In other delicious news, Jo has been appointed official health spokesperson for Chobani Australia, a role which aligns perfectly with her mission to help Aussies eat well.
And if you have a sweet tooth, dietitian Jaime Rose Chambers is making dreams come true by spreading the word about Funday’s new lollipop that gets five health stars (yes, for real!).

Rally driver Molly Taylor is always up for a good test day, so when the chance came to get behind the wheel of the new Extreme H Pioneer hydrogen vehicle in France, she didn’t hesitate to say a very enthusiastic “oui”. Molly took the Extreme H car for a spin ahead of some exciting announcements about the upcoming Extreme H competition over the next few months. After making a mad dash back to Australia, Molly jumped straight into action as the pit lane reporter for Channel 7 at the Darwin round of Supercars – and managed to fit in a chat with The Motor Dream Podcast to share what her Dream Garage might look like – talk about hitting the ground running!
Also shining last month was Ellie Cole, who brought her energy and passion to the Australian Swimming Trials on Channel Nine, making waves with her lively and insightful commentary. And water polo star Tilly Kearns and Wheelchair Rugby queen Shae Graham both popped up on The Momentum Show hosted by Kat Sasso to talk through their journeys to the top, overcoming challenges, and how they’re driving change for the next generation of athletes.
Meanwhile, Aiva Anagnostiadis notched up an impressive number of interviews during an action-packed visit to Australia last month. After collecting valuable points at the Montreal Grand Prix, Aiva barely had time to unpack before she caught up with the Paddock 43 F1 podcast, chatted to motoring journalist Greg Rust for Rusty’s Garage, spoke to Olympian Chloe Dalton for The Female Athlete Project podcast, met with motorsports fans Zoe and Remii on their Pitstop Procrastination podcast and broke down the world of motorsport with teen sports journo Abbie on Her Way (all of which will be dropping in the next few weeks). On screen, she brought the laughs on Have you Been Paying Attention, and showed up on Seven’s Weekend Sunrise and ABC News Breakfast. As if that weren’t enough, she also joined our very own Kate Peck at the Women in Automotive event for an under-the-hood chat about women in motorsport. What a wild ride!
TLS SPEAKERS

If anyone could inspire us to eat more vegetables this winter, it would be Simon Toohey. The passionate chef brought his signature flair to the Hort Connections event in Brisbane for AUSVEG, demonstrating creative ways to cook up fresh vegetables, and touching on the importance of sustainable cooking and seasonal produce.
We know regional and rural Australians are lagging behind in health outcomes, and GP Dr Ginni Mansberg is helping bridge the gap. Speaking at the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation regional event series (in Toowoomba and Goondiwindi), Ginni led powerful, real-world conversations on perimenopause and mental health, while empowering participants to take charge of their healthcare.
Psychiatrist Dr Kieran Kennedy was also spreading the word about mental health awareness last month, fronting up for two webinars during Men’s Health Week. In sessions for Allianz and the Department for Health, Children and Young People, Kieran spoke on the intersection between mental health and masculinity – a very important message for these times.
Meanwhile, our talent made such an impact at Think Tank media’s Corporate PA Summits last year that they invited TLS back to find some brilliant new speakers for them again this year. Paralympian and broadcaster Ellie Cole, health communicator Casey Beros and GP Dr Preeya Alexander rocked events in both Sydney and Melbourne, making a lasting impression on everyone in the room. There was even dancing and hugs across the audiences.
Finally, if you’ve never been to a Business Chicks event, you won’t want to miss this. On August 11, the wonderful Shelly Horton will take to the Business Chicks stage in Sydney to share tips and real talk on perimenopause. Get your ticket for the Blood, Sweat and Tears event here – run, don’t walk because this one will sell out. Can’t make it? Pre-order Shelly’s book I’m your Peri Godmother – it’s out next month, and we’re picking it’ll be a best-seller.
HEALTH CALENDAR

This month, Disability Pride Month and International Day of Friendship (July 30) are among the big events we’re fielding talent bookings for. Have you got an event, panel or campaign coming up? Keep our people in mind, and reach out if you want to bounce around ideas.
Looking ahead to August, the major dates for your events and campaign calendars are:
1-7 August – World Breastfeeding Week
As GPs and mums, Dr Michela Sorensen, Dr Preeya Alexander and Dr Ginni Mansberg bring both empathy and insights to breastfeeding campaigns.
4-10 August – Loneliness Awareness Week Australia
Loneliness is a growing problem with major ramifications for our physical and mental health. Dr Tim Sharp (aka Dr Happy) and GP Dr Preeya Alexander are across all the research and have loads of advice.
29 August – Wear it Purple Day
Wearing purple is a great way to show your support for LGBTQ+ youth during this campaign. Our talent Dr Kieran Kennedy and Ellie Cole are proud to support the cause.
And don’t forget Women’s Health Week coming up in early September. It’s the perfect way to celebrate, support, and empower women to prioritise their health, connect with community, and take meaningful steps towards lifelong wellbeing.
