MAR 2025 – PEDAL TO THE METAL!

Well, if there were ever a month to buckle up, this is it.

February brought the heat, and March? March is taking things up another gear. It’s been a massive few weeks here at TLS HQ, and we’re only just getting started.

And what better way to kick things off than with some game-changing news? We’ve been hinting at this one for a while… and now it’s official: Aiva Anagnostiadis is joining F1 Academy!

In just a few short months, Aiva has gone from stepping into an F4 car for the first time to securing a seat in one of the world’s most exciting development series. She’s set to race with Hitech GP, representing the legendary TAG Heuer, and if that wasn’t enough, she’ll also be making waves on home soil as an ambassador for the Australian Grand Prix. It’s a huge moment for Aiva and a massive step for Australian motorsport—she’s paving the way for the next generation, and we couldn’t be prouder. This girl is going places, so if you’re passionate about supporting women in sport, it’s the perfect time to get on board and enjoy the ride that we will no doubt see from this young woman’s career.

With International Women’s Day around the corner, it’s only fitting that we celebrate this milestone now. This year’s theme is all about ‘accelerating action’—and Aiva, along with so many of the incredible women in TLS Talent, is doing just that. The barriers are still there, but so are we. And we’re pushing harder than ever. If you’re still looking to do something for IWD this week (March 8), there’s still time—but you’ll need to get in quick.

Elsewhere in sport, summer might be winding down, but our athletes are just getting started. Jemima Montag is showing why she’s one of the best in the business, taking out her sixth straight win at the Australian 20km Race Walking Championships a few weeks ago and just over the weekend, making a bold statement to her competitors taking out the gold medal at the World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold meeting in Taicang; while Claudia Hollingsworth continues to shine, winning the Albie Thomas Australian Mile Championship. Nationals are just around the corner (April 10-13 in Perth), and we can’t wait to see these two powerhouses in action.

Meanwhile, Ellie Cole has been making headlines in a whole new way, taking home the first-ever Rising Star Award at the Australian Sports Commission Media Awards. From Paralympic champion to sports broadcaster, Ellie’s impact on the industry—especially in championing inclusivity—continues to be huge. So well deserved!

And finally, on the big stage, Shelly Horton brought her signature energy to the So Hot Right Now event at the Sydney Opera House, tackling the conversation around menopause head-on. With global experts sharing invaluable insights on women’s health, Shelly was the perfect MC for a conversation that’s long overdue.

March is shaping up to be one for the books—so watch this space.

Til next month,

TLS EXPERTS

Rumour has it that if you say the words ‘motorsport’ and ‘wine’ in the same sentence, Kate Peck will magically appear. The motorsport journalist and wine afficionado was in her absolute element while hosting a St Hugo Wines dinner with none other than Daniel Ricciardo last month.

On the partnership front, dietitian and nutrition scientist Dr Joanna McMillan helped launch Wise Wheat (a new bread with six times more fibre than regular wheat-flour bread, and the same great taste), while Shelly brought much-need attention to the incredibly painful reality of shingles as part of Shingles Awareness Week.

Habit change scientist Dr Gina Cleo was the perfect fit for My Fitness Pal’s recent new year campaign, and Dr Kieran Kennedy has been busy with the Body+Soul team, offering expert insights for the Health of the Nation report; and everyone’s favourite health journalist Casey Beros iintroduced us to some seriously ‘Austraordinary’ humans in this incredible campaign for Novo Nordisk.

TLS SPORT

More big news…… we’ve got a new face in the TLS Sport family! Say hello to two-time Paralympian Shae Graham, captain of Australia’s wheelchair rugby development squad. Shae’s a powerhouse on and off the court, speaking passionately about diversity and inclusion while bringing serious insights on training and goal-setting. We’re so pumped to have her on board!

Got weekend plans? If you’re in Sydney, cancel them—because the Race of Champions is taking over Accor Stadium, and you do not want to miss it. This all-star motorsport showdown is next-level, and our very own rally queen Molly Taylor is going head-to-head with global icons like Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher. Absolutely buzzing for this one!

Meanwhile, Jemima Montag continues to fly the flag for girls in sport teaming up with the Australian Sports Commission and QIC shopping centres for the Play Well campaign. This initiative helps ease the financial burden on families so more young people can get involved in sport. Jemima also shared this special video on what International Women’s Day means to her—worth a watch!

If you caught Super Bowl fever last month, you’re not alone! The growing love for the NFL has led to the LA Rams announcing they’re coming to Melbourne next year– and our girl Tilly Kearns was only too happy to help spread the word. Tilly’s entertaining IG post about brushing up on her football skills certainly gave us a giggle.

Finally, congratulations to beach volleyball queen Mariafe Artacho del Solar, who is expecting a baby boy with her husband Jack Curtin later this year. We’re certain this kid is bound to be a future sports star!

SUITE READS

Is there anything Ellie Cole can’t do? The Paralympic legend and TV personality has just added ‘children’s book author’ to her LinkedIn profile, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Felix and his Fantastic Friends, with gorgeous illustrations by Caroline Keys, is a cute story with an important message, teaching kids about the value of inclusion. It’s out on April 1 with Scholastic Australia and you can pre-order now.
